HEPA Filters and UV-C Light
How is using both HEPA & UV-C a sure double measure?
- HEPA filters are the most effective in trapping microorganisms, only allowing a very small amount (in the order of 0.1-0.01%) to get through the filters.
- UV-C light is a well-established intelligent method of destroying airborne microorganisms such as molds, bacteria and viruses.
- UV-C light acts as a complement to HEPA filters in the SteriPure P900 and P200 to eliminate any stray pathogens that may get past the filters.
- Using the highly effective HEPA filters and UV-C arrays results in a lethal combination for harmful pathogens in the air.

What do you need to know about UV-C light?
The UV-C Light technology in SteriPure Portable P900 and P200 :-
- Is lab tested as able to disable 99.97% of all known viruses(SARS-CoV-2 included).
- Can be tuned specifically to deactivate airborne viruses, spores and bacteria.
- Penetrates the exterior structure of a microorganism, causing its DNA to alter which eventually leads to its death.
The HEPA H13 Filter
What is a HEPA filter?
1) It stands for High-Efficiency Particulate Air filter.
2) It is a superior filter that is able to filter MPPS or the Most Penetrating Particle Size of 0.3 micron which is the most difficult particle size to trap in a filter.
3) HEPA filters are designed to trap the most difficult and can remove indoor air pollutants, dust, pollen, gases, bacteria and viruses.
*The SteriPure P900 comes with 2 HEPA filters which makes the purification efficiency equivalent to having 2 air purifiers.
CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate)
What is CADR and why is it important?
- High CADR means the air purifier performs better in volume and speed.
- The bigger the room, the higher the CADR should be.
- A high CADR will produce faster results in smaller rooms.
The WHO and MOH recommends the minimum ventilation rate of a space to be 10 L/s per person which equals for each person to be 36 cubic meters per hour. The SteriPure Portable P900 has a CADR of 900 cubic metres per hour. This capacity is good for larger spaces that could hold 25 people, like living rooms, classrooms, lobbies and office spaces. The P200 Purifier has a CADR of 220 which is better suited for smaller spaces like bedrooms and study rooms.
