What is Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC)?
Invented and started to develop in the United States in the late 1970s, ESPC is a programme designed for adaptation; promoting the installation of energy efficient facilities, equipment and system. The savings in energy bills will be shared between the facility owner and the Energy Saving Company (ESCO).
The objective of ESPC is to encourage ESCO to develop a promising solution while facility owners have the opportunity to refurbish their facilities without spending investment capital.
ESPC has been proven as a way for an organisation to take advantage of opportunities to save energy costs identified by energy conservation management, as a medium to long term strategy.
